So much so that in the first match of the final, the Parque São Jorge team won 1-0 with Viola's goal. Roberto Carlos again won the Silver Ball as the best left back in Brazil, arousing the interest of European clubs in his football for good. In 1995 the inevitable happens. Roberto Carlos would play his last game for Palmeiras in that final, since he was negotiated with Inter Milan, and wanted a final title to end his spell at Palmeiras with a flourish.
